Owners in business 11 years or less, 41% say “business owners” … Owners in business 12-20 years, 43% say “business owners” … Owners in business 20+ years, 47% say business owners.
Owners of higher-grossing companies believe that Culture has the greatest impact on Employee Morale (44%) while owners of lower-grossing companies say that Culture most affects Productivity (50%) – Q7.
Owners in business for 20+ yrs (88%) are less likely to content that you Hire People Who Fit Your Culture, compared to owners in business for 11 years or less (97%) – Q8
Owners in business for 11 yrs or less (74%) are more likely to believe that Flexible Hours/Scheduling will make employees MORE PRODUCTIVE than Owners in business for 20+ yrs (65%).
Owners in business for 11 yrs or less (39%) are more likely to believe that Telecommuting will make employees MORE PRODUCTIVE than Owners in business for 20+ yrs (27%).
Owners in business for 11 yrs or less (85%) are more likely to believe that Continuing Education/Training will make employees MORE PRODUCTIVE than Owners in business for 20+ yrs (76%).
Owners in business for 11 yrs or less (46%) are more concerned about Maintaining A Culture While Trying to Keep Sights Set on Profitability while Owners in business for 12-20 years (44%) and owners in business for 20+ yrs (45%) are more concerned with Ensuring That We Practice What We Preach.
Owners who say that they have a Strong Culture (41%) are much more likely to spend the majority of their time on Employee Motivation & Collaboration than those who say that they have an Average or Weak Culture (28%).
Among owners who invest the most in Leadership (60%) are much more concerned with Ensuring That We Practice What We Preach than owners who invest the most in Motivating Employees (48%) or Company Reputation (31%)
Owners who say that they have a Strong Culture (50%) are much more likely to strongly agree that their culture increases their profitability than those who say that they have an Average or Weak Culture (20%).
Owners who say that they have a Strong Culture (69%) are much more likely to get feedback from their employees about a prospective candidate fitting their company culture than those who say that they have an Average or Weak Culture (58%).
Owners who believe that having employees’ TRUST matters most are more likely to invest the most in Employee Motivation/Collaboration. Owners who believe that employees are best motivated by receiving more TRUST (39%) are more likely to spend the most time and money on Employee Motivation & Collaboration than those who believe employees are motivated by getting more TRANSPARENCY (32%) or CONTROL (29%).
Manufacturing owners believe that Culture has the greatest impact on Productivity (45%) while Professional Services owners believe that it has the greatest impact on Employee Morale (47%).
Owners with 50+ employees (83%) are less likely to believe that it’s more effective to hire people fit their culture than owners with 2-9 employees (93%).
Motivating employees by giving them more TRUST is much more important to Prof Services owners (52%) than Manufacturing owners (33%).
Owners with 50+ employees (57%) are less likely to believe that Flexible Hours/Scheduling makes employees more productive than owners with 2-9 employees (72%).
Owners with 50+ employees (96%) are more likely to believe that Mentoring makes employees more productive than owners with 2-9 employees (89%).

Manufacturing owners are much more likely to hire prospective employees on a trial basis (52%) than Professional Services owners (30%).
